TOPIC: Acknowledging God Through Tithing (Seeds Of Destiny 5 June 2023)

SCRIPTURE: The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Psalms 24:1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:Paying the tithe proves our acknowledgement of God as the Source of all resources.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

The Scriptures admonishes us to pay our tithes and give our offerings in Malachi 3:8-10. This is because the tithe opens the heavens over our lives. The tithe makes God to open your heavens.

The tithe comes with a covenant mentality, and that is the acknowledgement of God as the Source of all that we are, and all that we have. Paying the tithe proves our acknowledgement of God as the Source of all resources (Psalms 24:1). Whenever you pay your tithe, you are acknowledging the fact that God is the Source of all resources.

Our anchor Scriptures reveals that God is the Source of all things; He is the Owner of the heavens and everything on earth, including all silver and gold.

Now, it is important to ask, how does money come? How does one earn money? The truth is, money comes in several ways:

You can earn money by your energy, wisdom, certificates, favour, etc.

However, it is very critical to know that none of these ways of earning money is exclusively the doing of man. If you boast or brag about the money you have earned, the questions to ask are: Are you the one who keeps your heart beating? Did you give yourself the health and capacity to go to work and earn money? Did you do anything special to be alive?

So, when people brag about their resources and possessions saying, “This is my money! This is my car! This is my house! I built it”, it is because they don’t understand what they are saying. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof (Psalms 24:1). No one brought any money into this world and no one would take any amount of money out of it. When a billionaire dies, how much of his possessions can be buried with him? (Job 1:21).

So, it is vital to understand that we came to meet things on earth and we will leave them behind one day.

Remember this: Paying the tithe proves our acknowledgement of God as the Source of all resources.

ASSIGNMENTS:

Acknowledge God as the Owner of all that you are, and all that you have.
Release God’s portion in your possession called the tithe as honour to Him.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to acknowledge You as the Owner of my life and my resources by releasing my tithes, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
