SCRIPTURE: But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God is speaking again and again but man is not always listening to hear what God is saying.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Our God is a speaking God. He is more interested in speaking than most people are interested in hearing. God is eager to speak to us more than we are eager to hear from Him.

The point is not whether God is speaking; the issue is whether man is listening to hear what God is saying.

Now, I want you to take note of these two critical facts:

1. God is always speaking.
   God is not talkative, but He is always saying something. God is always speaking.

Matthew 4:4 says,
But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

We understand from this Scripture that Words usually proceed from the Mouth of God. Words proceed continuously from God’s Mouth. This means, God is always saying something.

According to Job 33:14, God speaks once and twice. This means, God is always speaking. God is speaking again and again but man is not always listening to hear what God is saying.

2. Man must be deliberate to hear God.
   We must be deliberate and decisive to hear God.

Psalms 85:5 says,
I will hear what God the Lord will speak:…

From the Scripture above, I will hear… implies, “I must make up my mind to hear what God is saying. My will and decision must be involved in hearing God. I must be determined to hear what God is speaking to me.”

Beloved, my counsel is, as God speaks, you must be deliberate, decisive and intentional to hear Him.

Remember this: God is speaking again and again but man is not always listening to hear what God is saying.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Go through today’s message again.
2. Bet determined to hear God. As you read the Scripture, be attentive to hear the Voice behind the verse.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You open my spiritual ears to hear You. Help me to hear Your Voice behind every verse of the Scripture, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
