SCRIPTURE: Without natural love, bitter haters, saying evil of others, violent and uncontrolled, hating all good, – 2 TIMOTHY 3:3. BBE.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The end time is characterized by the activities of bitter haters against God and against His People.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2024 MESSAGE:

The Book of 2 Timothy 3:1-5 reveals that one of the characteristics of the end time is that people would lack natural affection for others.

The Bible in Basic English (BBE) renders it this way: “Without natural love, bitter haters, saying evil of others, violent and uncontrolled, hating all good”
(2 Timothy 3:3).

This means that in the end time, there would be bitter haters. The end time is characterized by the activities of bitter haters against God and against His people.

This is the exact description of the behaviour of some people on social media platforms today. Many people on those platforms are bitter haters, releasing bitterness through their posts and comments. They speak all forms of evil against God and against His people. They are violent and uncontrolled, hating all that is good.

They aim to destroy the character of others and oppose the advancement of God’s kingdom. They are unkind, merciless, slanderous, violent and fierce.

They may think they are just having fun, but what they may not realize is that they are being controlled by the spirit of the age. They take pleasure in hating and being hateful, not knowing that they are instruments of damnation in the hands of the devil.

Look at how the Message Bible describes these bitter haters:
“…dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers…”
(2 Timothy 3:3).

These bitter haters are unloving and unforgiving. They slander others and lack self-control. They are cruel and hate what is good.

Beloved, this is the most accurate description of our generation. We live in a generation of bitter haters, and it is a sign that we are in the end time.

Beloved, I counsel you never to be part of the hateful spirit of this age. Avoid bitter haters so you can escape the wrath of God.

Remember this: The end time is characterized by the activities of bitter haters against God and against His People.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Refuse to be part of the association and activities of bitter haters.
2. Pray for people and wish them well. Never allow anyone’s actions drive you into bitterness and hate.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the association of bitter haters. I refuse their influence over my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
